Sail and Surf offers a fantastic week of Sailing and Windsurfing on the coast of North Wales!
This popular water sports holiday is now established at an exciting venue in a beautiful location on the edge of Snowdonia. Our accommodation at CMC Adventure is located on the edge of a small estuary in a superb activity centre with great water-sports facilities. The week offers the chance to be introduced to either sailing or windsurfing for the first time, or to develop skills you already have (participants will be asked to select their choice of activity prior to the start of the holiday). The sailing and windsurfing generally takes place in a sheltered “tidal lagoon”, or in Cardigan Bay itself when the weather is appropriate.
Each course is designed to maximise levels of fun as well as to teach new skills using a wide range of the very latest equipment.
RYA qualified safety boat drivers operate a fleet of power boats to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Other exciting water-based activities over the week may include stand-up paddleboard (SUPs), a gorge walking adventure, a kayak expedition, beach games + BBQ or an excursion into Barmouth. Taster Kitesurfing sessions give the opportunity to learn to fly a power kite on land and then progress to on water sessions with a board! Evenings involve further fun and laughter with a (usually dryer) onshore activity and meeting together for a time of worship and to explore the Christian faith. We also include opportunities for discussion in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Pensarn is located 8 miles North of Barmouth and has a direct rail service from Birmingham and Shrewsbury.
For 2024 we plan to offer a meet and greet service by train for the outward journey (we will help any of the group board the train together for the return journey but they won’t be accompanied by team). This will be available from Birmingham and we are exploring options to offer it from London. If of interest to you, please email info@westrunton.org.uk when you make your booking.
